This article describes how to install a printer on a Windows PC joined to the UWO domain.
Users installing a Science Technology Services-managed printer on a Windows 7 or 10 PC joined to the UWO domain. If you log in to your PC with your Western credentials, your PC is joined to the UWO domain and you should follow these instructions.
If you are on the wireless network and/or you log in to your PC with a local account, your PC is not joined to the UWO domain and you should follow Installing a Printer on Windows (non-UWO domain) instead.
2. Select View by > Small icons.
|3. Select Devices and Printers.|
|4. Click Add a printer in the toolbar of the Devices and Printers window.|
|5. Select The printer that I want isn't listed.|
|6. Select the Find a printer in the directory, based on location or feature radio button and click Next.|
|7. In the Location field, enter the building acronym of the printer you wish to install (e.g., PAB for Physics and Astronomy Building or MC for Middlesex College). Click Find Now.|
|8. Double-click the printer you wish to install.|
|9. Wait a moment while Windows downloads the print driver from the print server and installs the printer.|
|10. Click Next.|
|11. Click Finish.|
